 In this era, we all want to become perfect, professionally, physically, mentally. But it’s not that simple. Perfection needs efforts and focus. ‘Focus’ is a harsh word, not an easy thing. But can you imagine an exercise help you to increase your focusing skills.
Trust me, meditation can take you a long way.

Basically, it’s a technique to focus. As exercise increases your flexibility, Meditation increases your focus.

 People find it hard to sit for minutes and meditate.

But here we are, after reading this nothing will seem more easier than meditation.

The first question put up in the mind, how to start this difficult task. 

  • Just choose a comfortable position, you may sit straight on a chair or by the cross leg. You may lie down or You may stand up. The choice is yours.
  • Start taking deep breaths.
  • Let’s begin to count your breath.
  • Do this for at least 3-5 minutes, according to you.

Congratulations, you’ve just completed your first session of meditation. Gradually, day by day you can increase your time. You can try different methods like, 

  1. Start focusing on your breathing.
  2. Focus on the middle of your forehead. 
  3. You may focus on a point.

If you’re unable to focus continually on something for 5 minutes. You don’t need to worry as Here’s good news for you.

According to a famous book ‘The Willpower Instinct’ Kelly McGonigal explained,

BEING BAD AT MEDITATION IS GOOD FOR SELF-CONTROL

She said, “Meditation is not about getting rid of all your thoughts; it’s learning not to get so lost in them that you forget what your goal is. Don’t worry if your focus isn’t perfect when meditating. Just practice coming back to the breath, again and again.”

 In that research the Most new meditators were not able to focus properly on breathing but the truth is that being “bad” at meditation is exactly what makes the practice effective. When their meditation felt distracted, they were more focused after practicing that.

So just keep calm and meditate.

In an eight-week study, a meditation style called “mindfulness meditation” reduced the inflammatory response caused by stress.

A study of 21 women fighting breast cancer found that when they took part in a tai chi program, their self-esteem improved more than it did than in those who received social support sessions.

In another study, 40 senior men and women who took a mindfulness meditation program experienced reduced feelings of loneliness, compared to a control group that had been placed on a waitlist for the program.

It helps you to focus

A similar study showed that human resource workers who regularly practiced mindfulness meditation stayed focused on a task for longer.

Moreover, one review concluded that meditation may even reverse patterns in the brain that contribute to mind-wandering, worrying and poor attention.

It helps you to fight addiction

Research has shown that meditation may help people learn to redirect their attention, increase their willpower, control their emotions and impulses and increase their understanding of the causes behind their addictive behaviors.

One study that taught 19 recovering alcoholics how to meditate found that participants who received the training got better at controlling their cravings and craving-related stress.

Conclusion

It’s my personal experience, I have started to meditate since I was in 9th standard.

I didn’t know it’s benefits, I just started. Within one month, I begin to feel confident, beautiful, my skin began to glow. Now it’s the part of my life

So don’t wait for anyone, just start Meditating and approach towards perfection.
