With Xiaomi launching their flagship Redmi K20 pro on 17 July in India as their flagship phone which supposedly challenges the One Plus 7 Pro in the smartphone markets. It will be interesting to see whether Xiaomi lives up to the hype it created for the K20 Pro.


Both the One Plus 7 Pro and the Redmi K20 Pro are powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Both of them run on the latest Android Pie with different Operating Systems of their own. They support dual SIM-Slots with the latest Bluetooth v5 connectivity. Both the phones have Adreno 640 GPU which allows smooth working of games. Both the phones support fast charging and have a big 4000 mAh battery.


The One Plus 7 Pro does not support the 3.5mm headphone jack and only has type-C port. Ii is used both for charging as well as music playback. The Redmi K20 Pro on the other hand supports a 3.5mm headphone jack along with the type-c port.

The One Plus 7 Pro features a Super AMOLED Display as compared to the AMOLED display in the K20 Pro.

The K20 Pro weighs 191 grams and is lighter than the One Plus 7 Pro which weighs about 206 grams due to its smaller screen size.

The One Plus 7 Pro supports a 6.67″ display while the K20 Pro packs a 6.39″ display.

Both the phones have pop-up front facing cameras but the One Plus supports a 16 MP front facing camera whereas the K20 Pro has 20 MP front facing camera.

The Redmi K20 Pro price has been set at Rs. 27,999 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, whereas its 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option carries a price tag of Rs. 30,999. Redmi K20 Pro will be offered in Carbon Black, Flame Red, and Glacier Blue color options. The first sale will commence through Flipkart, Mi.com, and Mi Home stores at 12 pm (noon) IST on July 22.

In comparison, the OnePlus 7 Pro price in India starts at Rs. 48,999 for the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The 8GB + 256GB variant of the phone has been priced at Rs. 52,999 and the 12GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant has been priced at Rs.57,999 and is available in the Nebula Blue option only. The Mirror Grey option is available in the 6GB RAM version. The phone is available for purchase on Amazon.in and OnePlus online store.

Which Phone to Choose ?

If you need to buy a pocket-friendly phone with the latest features then the K20 Pro is the best smartphone in the market right now.But, if you think that buying a phone is a one-time business and are ready to put in some extra bucks then you should go for the One Plus 7 Pro because of its history of producing successful flagship killers in the past.

Although the price difference between the two phones is almost 20K which is considerable and there is hardly any major difference among both the phones.
